the question: solos, or no solos? thats all i need to know, or else i would get angry if i bought this and they're arent any.

YES OMG YES

There are solos, and they are fantastic, especially the last one on the title track.

There is a solo right off the bat in the first few seconds of the first track.

SOH's comment was the most stereotypical meatheaded metal fanboy comment I've ever read.

It happens

There is a solo right off the bat in the first few seconds of the first track.

Your reading composition is seriously lacking, I was pointing out that the last solo is especially fantastic.

Entombed have never put out a mediocre album in my opinion. This is album is second to Uprising (which I want to review).

Entombed's first 3 albums are the only ones worth listening to, the rest is just pure crap.

What??????^^^^

To each his own. Their new stuff takes Slayer riffs and makes them original again!

I don't see what the big deal with this album is. The alot of these same guys put out as Nihilist was way better than this, and other Swedish death metal coming out around the same time was better too (Dismember and Grave come to mind).

The title track is awesome, but the rest of the album is really really boring and feels half-assed.

wow what the fuck was wrong with me

A couple months later I feel different from that post above. This rules, though I think Like An Ever Flowing Stream is better.

These guys are the one of the better Swedish death metal bands. And they are still going strong!

I find Dismember to be a little overhyped around Sputnik. There last album was a snoozefest. If they changed up their sound a bit more, I might enjoy them.

I haven't heard any of Entombed's other stuff unless you count the Nihilist material.

While this is certainly one of the better albums, their newer stuff like Uprising and Morning Star are more like death n'roll; alot of groove and punk thrown into the mix. Its almost fun to listen to, especially the song Seein' Rad off Uprising. Wolverine Blues is their finest album IMO.

Definitely worth your time! No death metal collection is complete without Entombed's first 3 albums.
