I was really let down. It's pretty bad outside of Tainted Love and Sex Dwarf. Kinda like Frankie Goes to Hollywood but slightly more seedy and not nearly as catchy.

My **s is talking:
I wasn't disappointed. Every song can stand in its own which is a surprise considering that I only knew Tainted Love and Sex Dwarf.
It's kinda like the refutation of posterior overelaborated masterpieces from other groups such as Violator from DM and blah from blah, and blah, blah, blah.
The lyrics here are...

It's probably the most exuberant synthpop album I know of. It nails that "primitive" touch from the early 80's, and it still sounds better than most of today's electropop. Which is saying a lot given that the genre is alive and well.

you make it sound very enticing, definitely gonna check it out

Highly recommended, Phlegm! It's not as immediate as Depeche Mode or The Human League, but this album is as strong as (almost) anything these guys have put out. But that's just me, of course.
'Youth' is totally a Black Celebration song...only 5 years ahead of it.

Love Tainted Love/Where Did Our Love Go to death. Gonna check this album out soon I think.

I can just imagine people's reactions of this after buying it cause of Tainted Love.
Just picturing cassettes littering the ditches.
I enjoyed it for the most part but it's pretty out there if all you've heard is Tainted love

isn’t it nice

"'Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret' at first sounds like an album to be played in dingy sex clubs, in topless bars - the perfect soundtrack to a midnight drive through a red light district."
Agreed with this sentence, but unfortunately the album wasn't much more to me than that. Would work well as VHS porno music, but I wouldn't necessarily want to revisit this beyond Tainted Love and Chips On My Shoulder (which was a surprising B52s-esque highlight).
