I think I've heard Mirror of Madness in part, but can't remember much about how it sounded/I liked it. I'lll just skip this because I just don't care if the vocals aren't any good. Yet another easy pos.

Damn man, I was hoping they weren't going to turn out terrible. Maybe the vocalist is a friend or something, or an acquaintance bought in for ease of access and the fact that they already know him and thus don't have to do any adjusting.

Dreams of Endless War was one of the first heavy albums I got into and these guys have held a special place for me ever since

Forgot about this band. N was pretty bad...don't expect much from this either. They were best when they were ripping of CoB.

N was already quite mediocre, but this doesn't even sound like Norther anymore. It's more like they wanted to keep the band name for recognition and better sales.
So both new Scar Symmetry and Norther are pretty bad, what a year for melodic death so far. Only thing missing now is a bad Insomnium record.
Devin Townsend is the only guy that's bound to deliver for now.

Thanks gang, although those who have never heard anything from the band may want to look into Dreams of Endless War or Mirror Of Madness or even Death Unlimited - all are quality records.

The instrumentation on this isn't bad either, that's what's the most disappointing. The bass solo on "Closing In" was a real nice surprise.
