weird, I was just listening to this the other day to see if it passed the test of time.

It didn't. ugh.

the songs themselves aren't bad, "man overboard" is probably one of their best, and the drumming throughout really is great, but the banter in between tracks just ruins the album. Tom Delonge should never be near a microphone again. and the extra crap at the end consisting of more of those god-awful jokes is completely unnecessary.

This record is great cos they must have had such a laugh doing it and that really come across. Plus it has a great version of Carousel on it.

However, i saw blink on their last tour and they werent a patch on the days when this was recorded

I have alot of videos of blink playing live and honestly...... they suck live, although on this album they sound really really really really good.....which makes me think abit, did they really play this live or did they just pretend it was live and recorded it in the studio?

I never got a chance to see them live, though I'm hoping to see Angels And Airwaves soon. And I can honestly see Blink-182 pretending to play live.

This album taught me so many wrong things. I used to not laugh when I was like 12 but listening to these now, I laugh right out loud and my parents ask me what's so funny.

My friend said Blink was kick ass live, but that kid's the biggest Blink fanboy on the planet, so I'd take that with a grain of salt. And I'm fairly certain this wasn't recorded in Pittsburgh. But if it was, then my sister yelling is on this CD. :thumb:
Recently dug this up. It's a good nostalgia listen from time to time. I still like 3rd grade potty humor on occasion.

my opinion on blink live is that theyre good when they TRY. Sure they got ALOT worse as they went on, but you could even look at performances up until they broke up and my point is shown.

Take this - Big Day Out, they played well, because they were probably like "damn, alot of people here AND its being filmed and aired on TV at some point - we better be good". Then listen to a live performance recorded/filmed by a normal concert goer - they suck ass.

On this Im sure they were like "fuck this is gonna be released as an album and sold and everything - we better play very well and be very funny"

so in conclusion to that, id say that TMTATS is not a good representation of how they play live, but nevertheless its a good live performance.

Favorite Joke - Toms doing Satan, then hes like "HEY pay attention you fuc- BOOBIES!!" and they go RIGHT into voyuer without pausing for a second. classic
