This record is amazing. It grabs your attention with one of the most commercial sounds ever, but on repeated listens (that YOU are going to make, thanks to the amazingly musicianship and catchy tunes) it only reveals itself as it is: a true fucking beast of beautiful progressive sounds.
The only gripe might be Alder`s voice, the curse of all bands in this style, but i can tolerate it far better than 90% of the vocalist of the era. True genius lie within this album.

I love fates warning and liked this album, but sometimes Ray's voice sounds like he's uncomfortable singing/out of his
range. That said, gave it a 4/5, as he still gave a heartfelt performance with good lyrics. Also, matheos guitar tone is
superb.
