My personal favourite Maiden album, and that's probably only because of the slight progressive twist that the sound has. A very detailed review, straight to the point but also manages to encapsulate what the album is about. Pos'd.

Thanks for all the positive comments. I have two questions though:
1) My objectivity is only 67%, and yet I have never had a review negged. How can this be and how can I fix this?
2) How do you give something a 0.5 rating? I've seen them floating around and I can't figure out how to give them. (Not like Iron Maiden would get any, but I'm still curious)
Anyway, I'm looking forward to reviewing the rest of this band. I'll tell you right now that some of my ratings will be against the grain.

1) Objecivity is how much your avarage rating is close to 3. 3 is 100%.

I think objectivity is more based on how far you agree with the average rating of a particular album, using your own rating and matching it up to the average rating of that album. I'm not actually sure, that's just what I think. As for the second question, I have absolutely no idea-it's worth querying about on here actually. For me personally I would never really rate anything a 0.5, probably because I'm just too damn generous.

I was just looking at IcyLily's account. She completely goes against the grain, giving Converge a 1 and Emmure a 5, and she isn't a very good reviewer at all, and yet she has a 9% higher objectivity than me. Wtf?

1) Objectivity base on the rating you give to albums, the closer they are to 3, the more objectivity
you have.
2) They are all cheesy in some way, its NWOBHM after all.
3) I really dont wanna make anyone mad but a 4 isnt that bad score.

BTW for me too the best Maiden album (and my favorite) is Powerslave. I think this and 7th son are their two 5s (even though I wouldn't feel ashamed giving the Number of the beast a 5 as well ;) )
