Don't misinterpret his words. He did form his own opinion. He liked her. I'm sure this guy doesn't think her music is objectively any worse, and he's not thinking "Oh, so now everyone likes her. I dislike her now because I'm rare and obscure", rather, he's found her dull and overplayed thanks to all people on tumblr riding her nuts like they actually exist.
