Great review captainprogright, pos'd. I've only heard Still Life by these guys but I really liked it, this one sounds even better so I'm looking forward to hearing it. Added it to my spotify library, gonna jam it later tonight.

Nice review. To a Van Der Graaf Newbie, should I start with this or Godbluff?

Not enough ratings on this classic prog piece. Reminds me A LOT of King Crimson.

Yeah I agree. Both have dark keyboards/mellotrons with some intense saxophone parts. And it's surely not a hasard if Robert Fripp lends a hand to the band here.

VAGG is vastly underrated. People should love more prog than just the first 4 or 5 bands they google.

A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers is one of the best prog tracks I've ever heard.

I find this to be wayy more inaccessible than godbluff.

It is, but it might be even better with repeated listens. I'm finally starting to dig A Plague of Lighthouse Keepers, but it took a while.

Does anyone know if any version of this album sounds decently? The 2005 remaster is awful.
