Dunno how anyone could call this best Dylan, it's got nothing on Blood on the Tracks, but damn the first and last song are amazing.

Totally disagree, jamie. You love emotion so you're gonna prefer blood on the tracks, but as far as best Dylan goes this just pips BOTT. BOTT can sound a little samey, this has some unique spice thrown in.

Album is so uneven though, whereas BOTT is consistently amazing. Mozambique is obvious filler and Joey is probably the weakest lengthy Dylan song I've heard, which I'm sure is mostly due to the fact that Dylan didn't write the lyrics for it.

Hurricane and Sara are so damn good though.

Hurricane and One More Cup Of Coffee are my favorites out of this one but I wouldn't go as far as to call it best Dylan. But I can understand those who do because it's got to do if it "speaks" to them more.

I love mozambique and joey, I love it all.

But that's the beauty of opinion.

Either way, I would 6/5 both if I could. BOTT is my Dad's favourite album of all time, maybe that's why I prefer this one :-D

The beauty of opinion indeed.

Can't decide whether I prefer Hurricane or Sara, both are brilliant in very different ways.

One of my main problems with this album is that those two songs easily outshine everything else on here for me. And my second favourites are the second and penultimate songs so I find that there's a big dip in quality in the middle of the album.
