I like almost everything Sunn's done and typically enjoy quite a bit of drone but jesus this has to be one of the most boring albums I've ever heard.

Album cover looks like bologna on a napkin
|
| |
how the shit might one go about pronouncing "Sunn O)))"
|
| |
Sun.

| |
I WANNA SEE YOU CRY BITCH O)))

At least i have a cure for my insomnia, the cure is this album

Wow, was really positively surprised by this

So much wasted potential.

I enjoyed this quite a bit at first, but the impact wore off quickly with repeated listens. Shame.

Haven't listened to this yet (waiting for my vinyl pre order to come in) but I can't help but wonder if a lot of the people calling this boring knew what to expect from the Sunn O))) aspect of this or not. I hear Messe being thrown around as comparison and it's like people are forgetting this isn't another Ulver album

Vinyl copy finally arrived so I'm giving this my first listen
When those drums come in on Let There Be Light - Holy shit
|
| |
boring album!!!!

Love 'Eternal Return', one of my favourite songs of the year so far.
|
| |
This isa hard 4 for me with 4.5 potential. I'm not sure what people were expecting from an Ulver and SUNN O))) collab (I swear it's like people came into this expect a new Ulver album) but this is pretty close to what I had in mind but with less earth-shattering feedback.

I'm really enjoying this as of late, although I don't have a ton of experience with Sunn O))). "Let There Be Light" rules.

I thought it was a solid soundscape. Over all well written album.

This is interesting but feels like a missed opportunity, especially with Ulver involved.

Though I'm way in the minority here, I like this a lot. I actually think Eternal Return is the weakest track and Let There Be Light is the best

Agreed except Western Horn is the weakest
