The chorus of Bear With Me is probably my favorite part of the album.

This is not getting enough love. Probably the best they have put out and they are all good.

Just another solid Bayside release, kinda wish they could drop something defining and epic. Maybe someday.
Also I'm with Ecnal in that the chorus of Bear With Me is probably my favorite moment on the record. That or Objectivist On Fire chorus.

Yeeeaaaah, Bear With Me is great.
While I do agree that this is nothing crazy new for the band, I do enjoy some of the tweaked to the formula they did. The guitar work is some of the best I have heard from them, and Anthony added some moments of grit to his vocals that I haven't heard him do before.
A friend of mine who has been a fan of them for a while was disappointed in the lyrics. He didn't think they had the normal, biting and sarcastic tone that their other albums generally have, except for Stuttering.

The guitar solos are great and its no doubt O'Shea can shred but here it seems they really don't add any depth to the songs. The ring a bit hollow to me, where as the solo in The Walking Wounded really elevated the whole song imo anyway.
I hear you about the grit in Anthony's voice though, I dig it. I have no problems with the lyrics personally, but didn't find them all that memorable.

As unfortunate as this may be, I would not be surprised if these guys broke up within a year or two. Releasing and album named Cult seems like a final thank you to all of the fans that have supported them all along and not to mention the song Time Has Come...

Stuttering showcases what are probably Anthony's best lyrics ever.

Stuttering is fairly lame

Transitive Property is also better than anything on their last 2 albums.

disagreed hard but glad you can enjoy it...
don't get me wrong, I like it just fine but its the same kind of self-referential mopery we heard on seeing sound from Killing Time. Seems every album has a song like this

I feel like this is a bit more consistent than WW (have a couple songs on WW I'm not particularly fond of, whereas I pretty much at least like everything here), but the highlights on WW are better than the ones on Cult.
Either way, I really like both albums. Killing Time had some pretty disappointing tracks, tho, and I haven't heard anything before WW, yet.

Dude, Sirens and Condolences is their best! Just dripping with snark and self-loathing...don't sleep on it

gotta jam this again soon. I agree that the guitar-work is definitely a step up from their last album

Stuttering doesn't seem mopey at all. It's quite aggressive and "fuck you" to the music industry on the whole, at least as far as I can see.
Transitive Property, yeah, mopey, but I love it.
