Personally I think you'd despise everything it has to offer or just won't care for it and the scene is basically 95% generic copy cats and 5% gems anyway.

I guess but this is the only scene I've actually done research on and checked enough bands to have an informed opinion on it. The description "but I feel like it's the kind of genre to grow on you like an unwanted growth, until you become so used to it that it becomes endearing." has weight, pretty much every album I liked from a Visual Kei musician has been a grower to some extent. Characteristics of bands I didn't like before I grew to love (e.g. Versailles' flamboyance) or tolerate (e.g. vocals of Nightmare).

Hope so, there's gotta be at least one that strikes a chord with you.

Best song on here, and that's saying alot. One of the greatest songs ever made.

I view it as a centerpiece of the whole album. It's the song I hear in my head whenever I think about Kurutta Taiyou. Even the vibrant fantasy colors on the album cover seem to resonate with Sakura in total sync.

This is soooooooooooo good. I was skeptical on my first listen, but holy shit everything clicks now. It's beautiful, groovy, exciting, ahhh I can't describe it

A fine choice of album :3 I suppose this was mine too - though I was listening to Thou's 'Oakland' as the hour hand struck 12, this was the first entirely within 2016.
