How to make a hard album without boring breakdowns, and still maintain hookiness and riffage. This continues to impress after repeated listens. Yes they are going hard on the Jesus but I try to overlook it. Bands write about what they are passionate about.

This is decent, but they preach way too hard and it's annoying.

Well they are a Christian band, so that's what they're supposed to do.

Yeah the last song is incredible

This felt too preachy for me. Probably gonna just stick with their last album. Might not ever have much interest in them past Captors.

Their last album was really preachy too if you think about it.

Oh, I know, but I thought this was worse. I figure this might be one of those bands where one album is enough for me.

Ok this turned out pretty well. I think I liked their last album better tho, more condensed and the songs were more memorable.

There see, it's not so bad now is it XP
Granted though, I can understand why some people wouldn't like this as much as I did.

This is good stuff.
The comments on CCM seem out of place, though... CCM is basically dead. What's really interesting though is that actual alternative Christian groups have never been stronger, and don't fit under the CCM umbrella at all. Bands like these guys, As Cities Burn, My Epic, August Burns Red, and Everything In Slow Motion all seem to have just as many non-Christian as Christian fans, and are killer musicians and songwriters. Good "Christian" music isn't dead, it's just gone underground.

This is solid stuff, and they're clearly heavily influenced by Thrice and Oh, Sleeper. Great vocals, decent instrumentals and songwriting. Unfortunately, this must be the preachiest metalcore I've ever heard. I can normally ignore the religious aspects of other bands that have a more tactful approach (Norma Jean, Underoath, the above mentioned, etc), but these guys seem to have nothing else to talk about. The cringe-worthy intros/outros, the bible verses posted in the lyrics... we fucking get it.
