I am not a huge fan of that track, but I am listening to the other tracks now. They're a lot better to me.

Yeah "The Call of the Mountains" is imo the weakest track on the whole album.
And I like this better than Slania, pure and simple. It's more engaging throughout.

Oh and they definitely went the poppy single way with Call of the Mountains. I'll bet this is their most listened to track at last.fm too.

Yes, listen to the entire album. Call of The Mountain is indeed poppy, but the other tracks are a lot different and are much more metal based. Some of them are really good.

I can enjoy Spirit and Slania but all their other albums (including this one) are mediocre.

Slania was amazing. This has some really great tracks. I honestly think Sucellos is the best song they've ever done. But overall it just drags and sounds too samey. Good review. I like this but the band will never top Slania.

The songs I have heard from this were fucking horrible so based on that alone, I don't see this being a 4.5 unless the other tracks are so mind blowingly good that the shitty ones don't matter. Slania was my jam back in the day though so I will probably force myself to listen to this
