I think I've been warmed up by Lambchop. These are something else though.
She moved in with a gym teacher when she was fifteen,
All muscles he was.
He lost his job when it all came out,
And couldn't get another one.
Not in that kind of small town.
Everybody knew everyone else's business.
My sister would hold her head high, though.
She said she was in love.
They were together for five years until one day he lost his temper.
He hit over the back of the neck with his bullworker.
If that's not a 5 nothing is.

I never liked Curtains quite as much as the first two but honestly I've never sat down and listened to all three back to back so maybe it deserves a .5 bump to sit on a 5.
The only 'sticks album that gets close to inessential is 'Falling Down a Mountain'...but even that has its own atmosphere going on.

Yeah that and the latest one are the ones I've skimmed. They all have a certain charm and get better after every listen. The first two tracks on Curtains and the second half of that album are amazing.
I wonder why I didn't take much notice back in the day? Probabaly wrote them off as a bad seeds rip off or something.

You listened to 'live at Bloomsbury theatre' yet?
Came as the bonus disc on the reissue of this album so worth picking up that version if you're thinking of buying a copy of this, live orchestra is immense. Makes tunes like 'jism' and 'mistakes' even more widescreen.
