I tried to listen to this and couldn't get through more than a couple songs. I don't know if it was the last few Say Anything albums that inspired a terminal avoidance of Max's voice or if I slowly got to the point where I couldn't take hearing him anymore, even on his good albums. Used to be into this band but the more I hear them, the more I hate Max's voice and lyrics.
Album art is also unforgivable.
My tastes have changed. Had some good times back in the day with early Say Anything albums and they put on a great show when I saw them at the House of Blues on Sunset.

I think a better mix could've made the album a lot more pleasing to listen to, but that is probably part of the aesthetic.
