I think I enjoy RN a little more than this album, if only for the fact that it has

White Pearls Black Oceans, Aint Your Fairytale, and Wildfire. However, this album

is

more solid all around.



I can never decide my favorites on this album. Other than the fact that Picturing

the Past and Fullmoon are my least favorite, I have trouble deciding on favorites.

Picturing the Past and Fullmoon are my least favorite

I don't know, I just don't really like it. The chorus annoys me a little, and nothing about it strikes me as amazing.

This band gives over-rated a whole new meaning. How anyone can honestly like trite power-cliches like "Kingdom for a Heart" is unbelievable. It's not their musicianship that makes me dislike them, it's what they do with it.

Memories of getting wasted and "air-galloping" to the riff starting at 1:11 on Full Moon still makes me laugh.

I discovered Sonata Arctica by accident. But like the film Children of Men or the book Deathworlds, they are a hidden gem I'm glad I found. They have shot to the top of my list as my favourite band in history ever! To say music saved my life would normally be taken as a bit extreme, but it is really true in my case. I had lost faith in a lot of thing but the uplifting tunes of SA actually made me see the good in life. It is music that can truly act as the biggest catalyst of emotion ever.



SA are deservedly recognised as one of the most successful power metals bands. I don't like Stratovarious but I love Sonata Arctica so it's odd, but this is music done well. So they saved my life pretty much.

So for that we can thank them. What an album

You thought Blank File was one of the best, but I think it is the worst song on the album by a significant amount. Still a decent song though.

Was pretty hooked on this album and band for a while but found they lose their appeal after killing a couple albums, the replay value on these guys isn't as strong as I'd hoped. Still, album's a decent power metal example, and the reviews pretty damn ballin'.

This review is written like a 3.5 or 4. Love the album. 'FullMoon' and 'Letter To Dana' are excellent.



'How anyone can honestly like trite power-cliches like "Kingdom for a Heart" is unbelievable' - hmmm. While the lyrics aren't amazing, I find those in the track mentioned pretty meaningful. Also, the theme of love/romance isn't that cliche for the genre.
