I think that The Crystal Ship deserves 5/5 and you only gave it 4.5/5 .
Good review anyways.

Amateur. Anyway, never could get into the Doors. I don't see what's so poetic about Jim Morrison.

I hate it when people put a review under the comments section! (yes I'm talking about you Schyma)
This album looks like pure gold! but I'm yet to hear it in its entirety.
Okay review, I suppose. You might want to be a little more specific in describing a songs sound/feel. Other than that, ok.

This is my first and favourite Doors album.
Jim Morrison is at his best form.

Rocksta: I posted that when I was a n00b (in 2004) and I didn't mean it to be under this review, I was pissed when I found out it got merged with this. It was when reviewing was part of the forum and Badmoon was the king of reviewing. It's the first time I've seen it in almost 2 years (I'd say I did a pretty good job considering I was only a 7th grader when I did it) and believe me it makes me WAY madder than it does you. This Message Edited On 07.03.06

I can live with that, but you can still appreciate manzarek's and kriegers interweaving jams.

good review. great ablbum.

Listen you pumppump bastard I.... yeah I can appreciate Mr. Krieger and Manzarek in the same way I appreciate the other 60's idols who jammed aimlessly for half an hour and called it a song. I just don't find their tunes as enjoyable as some of their 60's peers.
But Jim Morrison, I don't get. I don't see anything special about him.

To be honest, I do like them, when I hear them, but I don't really know their songs. I mean I know it's them if they come on the radio, but I don't know their songs. The only one I honestly know is Riders On The Storm, which kicks @$$, but isn't on this album...

I don't know what hurts most. The initial blow or the salt(sarcasm) in the wound.
Now that I am here I would rather just move on...

Such a fantastic record by one of rock's most iconic bands. Jim Morrison was an extraordinary talent, conjuring all of his voodoo mojo to write lyrics that were not only well delivered but meaningful.
This is a classic 5/5 for me.
