Great review Fripp, and I also agree with the two slight misstep tracks comparing with my ranking.

may have to disagree with you finding the GB version of Lazy to be ~boring~ (honestly one of the better songs on GB, which is slightly better than this), although I prefer Look Into the Eyeball to both of these.

'honestly one of the better songs on GB' - that might be the problem, call me a pleb but I prefer the dance versions/remixes of that song.

Thought the whole point of the arrangement was to be sprightly to contrast so much with the lyrics, I dunno.

"cheeful" in the second paragraph. Great review Fripp, I'll probably check this out. Glad to see this isn't an imitation of LCD Soundsystem, which is what the lead single and album title sort of indicated (even tho they were obviously influenced by Talking Heads in the first place).

Are any of Byrne's solo albums considered essential besides My Life in the Bush of Ghosts? I only have Rei Momo from my dad's CD collection but haven't jammed it yet.

Listened to a handful of songs so far.

This sounds like a winner.

(several comments earlier)

"Look Into the Eyeball and Grown Backwards are his best..."

although to be honest, the frontman of Talking Heads is okay for making music that sounds similar considering he was actually in the band.

big thanks for the minor edit

and yes, this is 3/3 for Byrne solo dating back to Look Into the Eyeball, a true winner indeed

Rei Momo is alright, but everything prior to Eyeball is a bit hit or miss imo

Ah ok I'll check out some of his others then this. Eyeball doesn't have a very high average.

well it only has 18 ratings, not exactly a good example if you think 3.3 is bad.
