good to see ya still kickin around as well Jade :] tbh my music-listening habits recently have been kinda all over the place, so there's been some electronic music but not a ton. been listening a lot to Ivy Lab and their 20/20LDN cohorts, since I'm going to see em in NYC in late April (suuuuuuper pumped!) - half-time DnB is absolutely killer, especially the way they make it. otherwise it's been mostly pop and hip-hop - Red Velvet, VaVa, Charli XCX, CupcakKe, Fickle Friends, Rico Nasty, and 3LAU are pretty much the only artists with new-ish music in my history. should prob get on that new-music grind better haha. what have you been into?
Word -- gonna have to check out a few of these, for sure! Halftime D&B sounds much like my kinda thing. : ) And thanks for the recommendations!
I've recently been listening to a bit more ambient music, actually. Was mostly into the off-kilter sort of experimental vaporwave released on records like Orange Milk last year, but my 2018 has consisted of some interesting stuff. Most recently I've been listening to a lot of Disasterpeace, who was the composer behind the videogames Fez and Hyperlight Drifter, as well as the film It Follows : ) And listening to a lot of VGM recently too -- been spinning the Final Fantasy X soundtrack in the car on a continuous basis, as have I been finally perusing more work by videogame composers like Jeremy Soule, David Wise and Grant Kirkhope! Other than these artists and podcasts regarding them and their experiences, which has been very helpful as I have an opportunity to contribute to a videogame soundtrack soon and am trying to take as much inspiration in as possible : )
In terms of other music I've been listening to -- sort of a steady stream of things I've enjoyed in the past, whether artists from middle school days or even as recent as college. Been listening to a fair bit of mid-2000s IDM as of late, artists like the Future Sound of London, Modeselektor, Photek and so forth, and some minimal ambient as well - I would highly suggest you listen to the album Submers by Loscil sometime if you haven't heard it. As our friend Jonny from Sput-staff and MD-days would be sure to appreciate haha, it's ambient music that is repetitive in a distinct kind of way, with minimal layers being added to one another in unexpected, endearing ways ^_^ It can serve very well as either active or passive listen, for sure!

But this guys entire review can be summed up nicely as a rant, and he gets a gold medal.
