their first album has their best shorter songs. i wish they did more of those but i think they pull of the longer songs on this album pretty well

“The opening piece FXMLDR (apparently pronounced as Foxmolder, whatever that may mean)”

Fox Mulder is the name of David Duchovny’s character in The X-Files.

Excited to check this out. Wasn't a huge fan of their last one but loved their debut and the singles kicked all sorts of ass

This band is Amazing. I can't wait to have this CD in my grubby hands.

The first two albums had these hooks that just grabbed me by the feels, and Terraformer is largely lacking that imo. But judging on it's own merits--the instrumentation is top-notch, and an 84 minute prog album that doesn't feel like a slog is an achievement in itself.

Well I didn’t like Stranger Heads but that grew on me and I ended up very excited for this one

I can't get into the vocals at all. Musically it's great though.

FXMLDR rips but I'mma need to digest this more for more standouts to appear. Band is obviously instrumentally excellent, but most of the hooks don't really sink in except FXMLDR

This might be on par with Maps upon first jam, and slightly better than heads. Instrumentals and production sound great to me. Better than expected, was a little worried by the singles.

There is so much going on here, it feels like one of those albums I need to give several spins to really get a feel of it. Loving what I hear for the initial playthroughs though!

I was thoroughly impressed my first run through. Listening more and more made me fall in love with it. My only gripe is that Chromology is probably 3 or 4 minutes longer than it needs to be.

All the singles were money so this should be an AOTY contender.

This is exhausting. The music isn't terrible but its just like drinking an extra large of one of those make-your-own milkshakes with like 5 different types of chocolate bars that you gave to the clerk just to see what it would taste like but now you've got home and Mum is saying *if that's what you spent your pocket money on you had better finish it* and won't let you go to bed until you've agonizingly drank the whole thing

But it's so rich and sugary and Bounty, Snickers, Mars, KitKat and popping. candy all taste great on their own but thrown together and liquidised in a pint cup is just way too much and you feel sick and you look down and Jesus you've only finished 1/3rd of it this was the worst idea ever
