I've never really been able to get into old man gloom, even though I generally dig the hell out of this style of music and Aaron Turner is kind of a musical genius to me for what he achieved with Isis.

I like The Ape Of God but never really been able to get into this side of Aaron Turners music. It’s not just this band tons of bands over use that high pitched sound in the mix.

I concur. Although I suppose we'll always have Panopticon, Oceanic etc. His work with SUMAC was perhaps his most appealing non-Isis sound.

Yes they’ll always be there thankfully. Ape Of God is dope though.
To be fair, that’s not my only issue with this, some of the songs are super duper indulgent and tedious.
