I love The Trimjtle Sanction, Valkyrie, Floodgates of Doom, Maestro Infernus and Hypogelum. Not a fan of the gatorbats track many use to stamp it. Take the 2 cool exp hiphop samples as such and still the closer is pretty cool. Its a quirky release but I find it kinda different fun to listen.

‘I'm not big on Flying Lotus but I also think the work a bit sketchy/ or perhaps scattered. The comparison is prob bc of that.‘
FlyLo / sketchy - pick one. The wrong choice ends in the demise of the human race at the hands of the devouring demon of atrocities (against music).

You're Dead! is pretty cool, still about 30 minisongs stopping and starting.

They were not meant to be taken as comparison whatsoever. They just throw some lo-fi exp hiphop somewhere in the middle, just trying to explain the approach.
I also didn t mentioned, but this rev is really cool. Its fun as hell, and it explains perfectly why you should take it or leave.

Cool concept actually, need to check this even if grind isn't really my thing.
Thank you for the review

The opener, I'll grant you, is great. It's got nothing on any of the tracks on III/IV though.

Is The Trimjtle Sanction an exception? Was expecting something ridiculous but that song slaps in a pretty straightforward way. Guess I'll find out anyway since I see this is nyp on bandcamp

It's about as straightforward as it gets, ye. The middle section through to the backend is probably the most quirky run of tracks.

‘So, noone here digs the opener?‘
Best track here, I was expecting decent things after the first couple of minutes. All downhill from there unfortunately.

This is crazy fun. No idea what problem people are running into with this.

I see, ngl I'm very curious to jam. Skimming through the first four tracks the metal seems to keep the album together for now. Worst case scenario I'll retreat to past stuff.

lol this review is fun and good, nice nice. i feel you could have gone a little harder on potential criticisms instead of coming back to your "it's kinda okay" middle ground so soon, but whatev, it's all bants
ddd say experimental hip hop again I fking dare you

Cheers Johnny. Yeah fair play, I guess I'm reluctant to be a negative boi towards something seemingly intended to be taken as just a bit of fun (and which, despite its flaws, is still quite fun) but in hindsight the final para may flip flop too far in a posi direction.
