This was...ok....
First two songs had me thinking this was being unfairly treated but then the rest of the EP happened.
Never been a fan of ambient "soundscapes" w/o vocals, and if TDH can't change my mind then I doubt anyone can.

...maybe listen to a few actual ambient artists before dishing out that kinda hot salad

I have no interest in doing any such thing considering there are still ed sheeran soundalikes in the indiepopsphere

Album Rating: 3.0 | Sound Off
It's the soundtrack to some sort of short film or series they're making, not specifically a traditional EP. I wouldn't worry too much, the album which is supposed to come in spring 2022 is gonna be a full new TDH album, and none of these tracks are gonna be on it.
That being said, personally I don't feel like it's worth it.
2 full songs, a couple of instrumental songs and a whole lot of atmospheric stuff.

aren't these guys normally hyped to oblivion on this site?
|
| |
i feel like this is barely worth rating lol, it's essentially a single and a soundtrack which we aren't interested in.
this reminds me of the la dispute documentary soundtrack that got posted here and there was a sound off: "are these guys even trying anymore" lmfao

| |
Yeah if this was released as a single with just the title track and reprise the average would be in the high 3s lol

Oy. The Dear Hunter is my favorite band. Single/Soundtrack or not, this was boring.
|
| |
I listened to Act 1 and gave it a 2.5 and have always assumed this is just the most boringly average band.
|

Listen to IV and V bruh
|
| |
Act 1 is by far the worst out of all of em
|
| |
No it isn't
It's better than V

They played a new song from the actual album on the Coheed cruise.
