"love the artwork

very 70's minimalism"

Interesting the subtle way it captures the concept. The title being in shadow is a nice detail.

so happy with how this turned out. Finisterre was my favorite album of the 2010s and I had no conception how they might follow it up, but they absolutely smashed it and created something that stands on its own and builds upon the strong foundation of their previous work to be something similar, but still different

Checked this out the other day and it's really interesting. Not sure what to rate it yet but I think it's definitely at least a 4. Excited to go back and dig through their discography also

"Melodies. This one goes for the melodies."

Finisterre is ten times more diverse and replete melody-wise. Still can't memorize all the transitions in Ein letzter Tanz

Thanks Sunnyvale.

Their / his discography is super solid, combustion. Go chronologically to check the songwriting's evolution, it will be worth your time.

Can't wait to see how some of our 4plus ratings skew the staff list. What a year for the metals.

At the end of the day, metal remains a minority within the squad. Only a couple of releases will appear, as usual.

Nice we finally got a review. It's not quite as hard hitting as finisterre is but this is growing on me strong. I do wish there were more euphoric climaxes here though, like the build up on Skepsis and climax of Finisterre but maybe I se it for what it is soon and stop comparing

Comparisons with previous releases are inevitable I guess, yet Noktvrn does have a personality of its own. As I've been orbiting the album for the last week I'm somewhat biased, but at the moment it's my favorite album by the band, by a large margin.

Album gives a great sense of the night imo.

Immortal is like midnight somehow. The concept really works imo
