If lyrics are the bar, Spencer is fucking subterranean.

Not even his lows could save this album for me

I just have 0 faith this is actually good. I don't think they've written anything remotely as good as define the great line. The 3 albums I heard after it were boring af

the first 5 tracks on this are all solid, and pneumonia is good too. I really don't care for tracks 6-9 though, and as rowan has pointed out a lot of the digital ghost versions are better. (especially hallelujah and some of the interludes)

this is a okay addition to their discog, but definitely lacking a lot of standout moments for me.

like.. most vocalists would kill to have the range and diversity that dude has in his pipes. Has to be one of the top vocalists in the genre, and has been for years

How are people bagging on Spencer's vocals here? He's literally never missed once, his weakest performance is still passable and it's only his weakest because he wasn't playing to his strengths and was still new to the band and trying to adjust from what he was doing before... TOCS had him trying to sound like Dallas circa TCOT for some reason and he does it fine but i have no doubt that a re-recording of that album would probably outdo it for me just cuz Spence sounds way more comfortable now.

You can painfully hear that this was self-produced. Majority of the tracks sound the same, with similar structures and setups. The pacing is terrible, and just sounds so uninspired. Spencer sounds great, but that's about it.
