I prefer his work as a J-Pop producer than his own albums to be honest.

Brilliant album… me too.

As for this it’s rather good thus far, colour me impressed. I like how he blends poppy hooks with the more off-kilter, almost psych-like weirdness at times. Interesting use of vocal sounds. Thanks anat!

Love this, love YMO's s/t.

think I prefer Technodelic to Solid State so far as well, finding the latter the hardest to completely grasp beyond 'this is cool'.

I should probably check more of Hosono's solo stuff.

I’d go for Hosono House followed by Hochono House next, though it’s far removed from this sound
