I’m also not hopeful for epics… it is just what I want more of. Their songs like that just blow me TD away

I enjoyed this album for what it was but it really felt like a placeholder. Definitely feels like it's been 20 years

VERY placeholder.. these songs were overall disappointing live imo. Have seen them twice since this release and felt like I was just waiting for them to get through them unfortunately.
Not a bad album by any means, just left more wanting something more, something bigger, they have it in them

Yeah, it felt very much like "we have nothing left to prove right now, we're just going to vibe how we want". It's nice and short and there are some great songs. Tied To A Tree is like top 20 AFI for me. I'd really like them to reignite the fire but I think they might just be in the coasting part of their late-career and we're not going to get anything very exciting from them anymore. Which sucks, but also they've been giving us gold for over 2 decades. It's bittersweet but I think I'm okay with it? This album is kind of them going semi-gracefully into that good night.
Maybe one more great album? Let's hope

If Davey can seperate AFI from all 3 other 80s influenced bands he is in.

Escape From LA live was great every time. On Your Back was good! Looking Tragic was as fine as it could be. Begging For Trouble and Death of The Party were kinda weak. subtler davey singing doesn't really even have the chance to hit
