Quinn and Branden were perfect together in this band. There's so much punch from the guitar and drums and that part in Pieces Mended slams you in the face when it hits.

Just watched the Maybe Memories documentary and it somehow made me love this album even more. Lotta respect for John Feldmann for believing in this band. You can really hear how much love he had for the music, probably his best production job ever.
Also these dudes were so damn down to earth and cool. I would kill for friends like that. People just aren't that chill and laid back anymore.

I should say most people. There definitely are still some cool people out there but they're hard to find. At least where I'm from in the Midwest lol

Thanks man. I do have some good friends but the vibes were just different back then in the early 2000's. Shit seemed less stressful and people seemed more normal, but that's probably just me getting older and being more jaded haha.

Lol that's likely all of us. Being grown up with all the stresses of what that entails. Things were absolutely easier for me back in the early 00s being in school etc. Small lives, small problems.

this album definitely single handedly improved the vibe average for years. then Lies for the Liars made it even worse than it was, so it goes

Lol lies for the liars is fire from a middle aged teenager pov and also in all seriousness from a production pov it’s fucking genius (but also awful)

@Jay
I'm in STL, 37. I definitely agree that things just have generally gotten more militant in the last ten years. Half of everyone want to take steps forward and everyone else just dig their heels in and want things to stay the same as they always were.

Might be my favorite album of all time, no joke.
@Guy yeah man, I'm only 26 and things just seem way worse than they were even a decade ago. For awhile I thought it was just a symptom of adulthood and growing jaded over time, but I dunno. Seems like society is dying to put it bluntly. Militant is a good word, so much stress and anxiety with political issues, cost of living, etc. Also people don't know how to interact with each other and shoot the shit anymore. Most people seem socially awkward nowadays lol
