Weird, I always liked Ava House. What do you guys not like about it?

its a momentum killer and it feels very unconvincing in the hands of that band. the tempo, vocal performance and production are all working against it to me and even when i saw it live i was bored. more power to the fans but its one of their worst songs in general imo. think id even take everything here over it

new songs prob the best of the bunch but i still feel like their songwriting chops are j very basic and boilerplate now. the first chorus i remember thinking "hm nice this is a solid enough verse" to then realize they started the song w the chorus and have the verses tread more or less the same ground like cmon guys

Yeah I hate to say it but I think they lost the magic after After the Party. Kinda poetic honestly.

eh i think this album still has it, just presented in a slower context. would rank this in my top 3. this band has generally grown off me a lot tho



plus this album is going more all in on its vibe than usual menzos fare. new stuff sounds like a generic attempt to return to the days of old

pre chorus of the new song is okay but otherwise i am not a fan. the hook sucks and is annoying and tom sounds pretty bad. woof

i dont like the snare tone of the new record but the guitars and vocals sound good



about halfway through and yeah nothing has really perked my ears either. ultraviolet and some of it was true are probably the best ive heard so far. this band really needs to stop writing everything in the pentatonic scale (hence my favorites being the only ones that do like anything else lol)
