I havent been on in about 7 months and still didnt forget my sn or password! Sorry about that guys. Anyways I think this album is a major step down, I've been on a Chimaira obesession lately and while this album starts off great with resurrection and pleasure in pain it really gets boring with worthless, six is good despite the boring riffing during the verses, no reason to live is awesome ,especially the drumming during the solo, then killing the beast just brings the album back down again (no pun intended), sorry to ramble on guys but I think you get my point

I don't mean to leave comments irrelevant to reviews but Hbp, I've heard keyboard and sampling on every FF album and I could probably point out specific spots in most of their songs. Actually, I sent a FF song to my drummer and the first thing he said is "If we have a keyboards, I'd want it to be something like this."

I found this album really disappointing, especially since their self-titled is one of my favorite albums. Songs like Killing the Beast and Worthless are let down by choruses (is that the right term?) that just seem lazy, its just him chanting the same word again and again.

My favourite Chimaira album.
Shows that the band has matured and changed up the song writing a bit. Not majorly, but just enough to be noticable.
I also think the vocals have also got slightly heavier. Particularly noticable in Worthless and the two bonus tracks; Kingdom Of Heaven and Paralyzed.
I personally think this is due to the increased backing vox by Spicuzza.
Hopefully the next album will be even more of an improvement.

I like the singer, and I agree that this album is more mature, my fav songs are six, no reason to live, ressurection, needle

Love this band. But this album is my least favourite of theirs. With the exception of a few songs, I'm not overly fussed. Which is funny, because I play these guy's other albums to the death. "No Reason To Live" & "Six" are pretty much the only tracks I care for. The Video for Resurrection is silly too, I might add. This Message Edited On 05.02.08

Over-produced is the choice of words Id use to describe this.
Andols completly over-plays and it suffers. Too much double bass (I cant belive I said too much about double bass). Really.

Love this album. The Flame is pretty damn intense, lyrically and musically.
