yeah, 1-3 is maybe the best run of tMG songs on any album that isn't titled "The Coroner's Gambit"

but dude his voice and songwriting fits so much more naturally with the lo-fi aesthetic. I mean don't get me wrong, his "new" music is amazing, but there's nothing like a crackly old tMG cassette. The Coroner's Gambit is my favourite but it's a grower so start there, and if you don't like All Hail West Texas then you have no soul. Other highlights of his lo-fi era are Nothing For Juice, Full Force Galesburg, Beautiful Rat Sunset, and Transmissions to Horace.
