nice they play anything off here?

I honestly have no idea. Only heard the singles collection so far, after hearing them Saturday. But I'm slowly working my way through their discog.

damn this is really good - Night Time's high rating made me overlook this one for too long

It dabbles a lot into pop territory, but I love the more rocking tunes. Guitar tone to die for as well

This is even better than Night Time tbh

I've had this on CD for a decade now. Not sure how I feel about it. The opener is still monolithic, but the rest was a cheesy blur last time I heard this. Time to revisit

Not the good cheesy either. Maybe my taste just changed

I know it's not uncommon to hear 'poppy' and 'cheesy' used to describe this era of Killing Joke and I guess I can see where people are coming from, but I don't really feel it myself
but yeah, dunno that I'd say better, but definitely would say this is on par with Night Time. now the question is will I feel the same way about Outside the Gate...?

You can honestly listen to the Eurovision-opening-ceremony synths on Sanity and not detect even the faintest whiff of fromage?

Album Rating: 4.5
the reference is lost on me but nah, not a whiff
the dark post-punk atmosphere and the machine-like drumming and that guitar sound and how I can't keep my head still and pretty much every other element blow any scent of cheese out the window... did I mention the lyrics

album certainly has a very 80s sound though, they really should have featured one of these songs on the Donnie Darko soundtrack

The back half of this absolutely crushes. I want to say this is Night Time 2 but this leans so hard into new wave it ends up feeling like a unique chapter in their discography
