I saw a few clips from the movie and it was so bizare and eerie. I would like to see the movie as a whole, but it looks so weird.

As far as concept albums go, I think this is the best ever. Great concept with great execution.
Not my favourite Floyd album, but it must be given credit for it's sheer scope. A masterpiece.

This is an awesome 2-disc album. One of my favorite Floyd albums.

this along with wywh are my favorite albums
and the review of the concepts was great
but what about the greatest guitar solo of all time in comfortably numb?

Great review dude. In my opinion their best album is "Wish You Were Here" folowed by DSOTM and Animals but I think The Wall is the best concept album ever and the movie rocks too (damn artistic though). But if you compare one of their worst albums with one of the good albums from let's say a modern band like Limp Bizkit or Maroon 5 or Linkin Park or whatever, Pink Floyd is still way better. And no, I'm not an old guy having problems with this new bands lol I'm 15 O_o
And as a pianist and drummer and also a bit gutarist I can definately say that these guys, are some of the greatest musicians on earth 2day. AND, they're not doing Jazz lol
but music that many people like instead (I love Jazz though ^^)

Great Floyd album.
However, after watching the movie, I get an entirely different vibe when listening to this album. It's not that I didn't understand the album before, and then upon seeing the movie everything made sense. Everything made sense to me on the first listen through. The movie just changed the way I feel about it. I get kind of an uneasy feeling, because some of the scenes in the film are pretty disgusting at times.

You mean like the scene when they play "The Thin Ice" with all of the soldier casualties? Yeah that's pretty sick.

A fee good songs. I only listen to the album as a full with the movie.
Goodbye Blue Sky, Young Lust and Another Brick in the Wall are my favs.

This is a Great album. and i hate it when people get another brick in the wall pt 2 mixed up with Alice Cooper's Schools out. People at my school do that all the time. And at the beginning of the song empty spaces i heard that there is a backwards message in that mumbling.

This album is sort of a bore. While it contains some key tracks there are to many tracks that are just plain dull.
I saw the movie a few weeks ago and thought it was awesome. Syd Barret is god.

Yeah, that is one of the parts, but also when they keep on showing the maggots. It's a very dark movie.
