I don't know I just think Garm is awesome on everything he does. Well at least everything I've heard from him.

I like dramatic and oriental quality of Garm's vocals in The Chaos Path.

That's not Garm, that's Vortex. Also the best song on the album.

This might be the weirdest album Garm's been involved in, I love how different it is to the debut.

Really cool album. I don't like it as much as the debut though.

Idk if I would call this particular album symphonic bm though tbh. They def went for a more experimental sound after the debut. This is def one of the weirdest albums I've ever heard, but in a good way.

I think this album is a gap between symphonic norwegian bm and avant-garde bm, its surely on that side of realm. And its definitely weird as fuck. Garm sounds like a madman trapped in am asylum, those haunting wails of him is really spine chilling. And that inverted vocal on third track. Just what the hell is goin on here? The production here is everything i could dream off an album from that era, crisp and clear, just a little bit restricted on bass side for atmospheric purposes.
I am on weird black metal binge this month, this and Dodheimsgard 666 is difinetely weird albums to dive in. Looking for more gems from pre-2000 era.

Listen to the self-title by Thorns, should hit the spot for you.

This bad boy just turned 20.

It was by far the best in avant-garde metal and Ad Astra is just orgasmic. The deep strings, that weirdly beautiful guitar and Hellhammer's drums, I get hard just thinking about it.
