I got this album today as a present, and it's so enjoyable!

I can't get enough of this band.

Unfortunately, my local record outlet doesn't carry any Massive Attack, so I'mma have to eBay it like a good cheap bastard.

Ebay is an amazing website. They have virtually everything, for cheap prices. I live by the creed "If it's not on eBay, it doesn't exist."

Yeah. Got this for Christmas. Rating will follow once I've heard it enough times. No less than four, though, I'm sure.

Angel is a fantastic song, 5/5 easily.

EDOT: No doubt I will have to get another Massive Attack album eventually... What's the best album to get next? Blue Lines? This Message Edited On 12.26.05

It depends on what you like. If you like the funkiness of Mezz, then get Blue lines. If you, like me, are into the darkness/atmosphere, then get 100th Window. Protection is IMO their worst effort.

Will probably be 100th Window then. My library has it, I think. I can check it out there

Better than Blue Lines. Unfinished Sympathy is the only good song on there. And when I say good, I mean one of the best songs of all time.

My favorite trip hop album to date, but I still haven't heard Entroducing.

Sepstrup-really late, but get Blue Lines ahead of Protection. One's good, the other would be a genre-defining album were it not for this and Endtroducing.

This album has changed my views on music and the possibilities of not only trip hop but hip hop. I love the composition, beats, vocals, and the feeling I get when I listen to it. Talk about feeling stoned.

When I saw them live, I was tripping out. And I was just watching/hearing them. They have a really special energy.

I am not aware of any live albums they have released. The only live track I have is Light My Fire cover off Protection.

So yeah, its half a year later and now I discover those rracks are from live in Vienna, I guess thats a live cd, maybe.

Dissolved Girl is an amazing song. No-one sounds quite like this anymore...
Honestly one of the top ten albums of the 90's.

Anyone else seen the movie Snatch? If you remember the scene where Brick Top's henchmen destroy Turkish's arcade, they play "Angel" in the background. It's pretty sweet!

Is it just me or does everyone hates Horace Andy?

Why do people hate his voice so much, I think he stands out in this great album.
