And yet because he's a performer to more than a Christian audience he should have to censor his beliefs to be accepted? That's ****ing unfair.
What the hell are you talking about? No one has said anything like this.
well, there is a difference. christian artists normally sing about their faith in god. they're singing about a religion, and that has a much deeper meaning than what secular bands usually write about. so it's understandable that a christian would like christian music more because it's talking about their complete lifestyle and beliefs.
You have no proof it's a deeper meaning. Some people think love is strongest of all human thought/emotions and consider love songs to have the deepest meanings.
Others think the deepest meaning is about social justice and leftist politics, others consider that childish and silly.
If christian can like something more on the basis that they relate to the lyrics I should be able to like something less because I don't relate to the lyrics.

You yourself said that he wouldn't be accepted by a secular audience,
The bit about the religious lyrics not putting off non believers is pretty silly.
it's sort of obvious that christians generally feel more strongly about their beliefs than other groups
but okay, i think everyone's had enough of this so yeah
woah there what? Are you honestly claiming that christians care more about their beliefs than muslims or the extreme left and right. Haha wow.

I'm just glad they're not arguing about something stupid/off topic. And glad SnackaryBinx hasn't popped up and said something like "you fail lunch, you should not continue using this site."

That's what I was trying to say in the review, how the meanings are so universal and stuff, but maybe I didn't really hit upon that as much as I should've.

[A→B] Life is definitely more quotable, I sing Gentlemen all the time.
But I like this album's flow better, and it still has great lyrics, especially stuff like Torches and J. 1979
and yeah marksellsus, Brother, Sister is still better than this, even if I would rate all three 5/5.This Message Edited On 10.29.08
