ya the elzhi joint is really tight... im gonna try and put up a review after i do up keyshia cole. the december release schedule is dry after the 16th anyway. yeah you should definitely do that. The Preface needs some love on this site.
my top hiphop this year... excluding soul: tronic, elzhi, guilty simp, scarface, jake one, rooots, in that order. i'll def check out Guilty Simpson and Jake One
i live in mn and it's oversaturated with atmosphere... just cant get into them. it's a bit too west coast chill for me. that's a shame. It really is a good album. You should check out the songs Your Glasshouse and Yesterday. maybe those two songs will change your mindstill gotta try out that anticon project, but im not a huge anticon fan, so we'll see. well def give it a chanceThis Message Edited On 12.16.08

Underground consensus? I think you mean internet consensus. While the internet is a large part of underground distribution the actual scene across the world doesn't regard anything as a 'best release in a long time' because there are simply too many records to judge. Tronic is one of the most popular semi-underground records on the internet right now, though.

You can't really compare rap and hip-hop like that. They aren't different in a culturally categorical sense but rap is the music art form that stemmed from the hip-hop culture. You can just as easily say hip-hop music, but to be specific, rap is the music and hip-hop is the lifestyle surrounding it.
