Oh its one of those albums huh? Ok well I'll probably just steer well clear of both of them then.

Dont you just love it when 3 or 4 people get into semi-serious continuing conversations on your reviews to bump up the view and comment count?

Ross... Oh hell yeah (another Stone Cold reference... Good God, what has come over me?). This 2nd release is actually a tad better in my opinion because there is a touch more variety and the lyrics aren't as bad. But unless you wanna play "spot the rip-off" (which is occasionally fun), I'd stay clear from this as well. This Message Edited On 11.25.08

Davey. Hypothetically, which album would you choose, and why, between:

This

and

the new nickleback album?

You mean that doesn't happen on other reviews AULDY!? Gee, I wonder how some of them get up towards & over 1,000 comments... Must be all that relevant album talk! Haha. Hey, at least there tends to be sentences of more than 1 word used here... Apart from Bastard of course!

As for your question, I cannot answer as yet because I have not heard the new Nickelback album. If you ask me which band I prefer, I would say Nickelback. This Message Edited On 11.25.08

this (and Nickelback) are as pop (and sterile) as rock (or according to nickelback's myspace, Metal) can get. Not pop as in popular, but pop as in the recycling of the music and over production associated with pop.

Push it to the limit....LIMIT
walk along the razors edge...
I know its push and not take but that's the only thing I think of when i look at this album

Auldy, I can assure you I agree with you. "Recycling" is very much an appropriate word. I mean if you put 'Loaded & Alone' up against something like 'Livin On A Prayer', you will see very similar progressions. And don't get me started on the similarities between 'Without You' and Def Leppard's 'When Love & Hate Collide'! And LOL at the 'Metal' reference. I would actually consider Hinder more "metal" than Nickelback, even it's hair metal.

Robin, I never actually said "no" to the bdb reviews, I just said "not any time soon".

Sonic, umm, yeah.

Ok Brent, can someone fill me in on the 'Push It To The Limit' references...??? I have no idea what they are referring to.....

Lol

spot-the-rip-off doesn't sound like my sort of game Davey, but if you get thrills from it, I won't judge.

Ross, I wouldn't say I get "cheap thrill" out of the spot-the-rip-off game, but it can fill in some time. And it's good for memory testing. So in that sense, Hinder is like Brain-Training on the Nintendo DS!

Thanks Brent, I actually wiki'd it after I asked the question and came up with some Disney kid I have never heard of that had a Top 20 song by the name of that title last year. I was starting to get worried about you for a second, so I'm glad it was actually in relation to Scarface!!!

Ahhh Kane, you did not heed my warning & gave this a listen. Apart from obviously rating it a 2, what did you think...???

Yeah I was joking really, but now you have said that I may consider getting this, I love brain training :thumb:

Who doesn't Ross. Of course, as soon as I got to the best possible age, I haven't played it since. The silly doctor keeps telling my better half "I haven't seen Davey in a while". Haha.

Kane, on the back of those comments, I'm a little surprised you went as high as a 2 rating. You must be in a good mood. And there's one answer to Auldy's earlier comparison question.

This is basically the greatest album cover of all time...just sayin'
Since I will never listen to this album, or new Nickleback, I will probably never have an answer to that question...and I'm fine with that

Yeah, I don't own a DS or brain training, so I use my friends, and the guy seems to get really annoyed with me for not doing it everyday. Oh well, probably explains why my brain age is about 35.

Brent, I noticed you haven't reviewed anything in a while. I think Hinder is calling you!

As for the album cover, gee I hope you are being sarcastic.

And no, this album cover brightens my day
