Yeah, you're totally spot-on. That was also the root of the whole Glam/Hair metal scene. People were paying to see a show instead of listening to the music, and that just threw the whole "quality" thing out the window.

It is a seriously a good album and I'm glad you're finally checking it out. There are times when it gets a little faster and heavier, but a lot of the time it gets all melodic. I find BTBAM's more melodic passages to be the more enjoyable part of their music.
