There’s the 5.
For twenty years this album has been air freshener. It’s taken till now to realise how subtle, well put together it is and how absolutely indispensable it has become in me life.
A top 50 of all time.

2nd greatest album of the 21st century but yank culture has swamped the decent stuff so all you’ll here is how Todd and the Pivotell Dispensers are ‘the shit’
Fucking culture down the shitter.

i've had this one since the mid-2000s at least and come back to it (more specifically, certain handfuls of tracks from it) ever since
the tracks I like from it are transcendant - those first 5, especially. Just last night I rediscovered "Rise" in all its glory and have played it probably 10 times since. There are a handful of tracks I just don't care about on here though - I get the "Coldplay with a pulse" thing but to me it's more like if Oasis was kind of inversed, with their more (albeit occasional) experimental tendencies post- Morning Glory coming to the fore and Noel singing considerably more than Liam.
Nevertheless, record is undeniably solid, but I'd be lying if I said I'd listened front to back as much as I did those first 5 or so tracks

At least it’s being listened to

i'm definitely gonna keep giving it plays based on the jawdrop of "Rise" alone
that track is just... damn. the guitar, that groove, the vocal production and melodies
finding out more about the whole Sub Sub history was pretty wild as well, considering how long I've actually owned this record more or less under the assumption they were just a new British band of the time

The Cedar Room is the one

Love the roomy drum sound on that one but that 4-part punch of Here it Comes thru Rise is the real deal for me on here

like I don't remember what child me thought but when Rise goes from the guitar lead to just that groove & the effected vocals... DAMN that is the good shit
