The good songs are not on this album that's for sure. SYL best are Room 429, Force Fed, and Last Minute. Off this album Love?, Possessions, and Zen are my fav.

I personally don't like a lot of thrashy stuff, so I don't care for that song as much.

Two Weeks is a beautiful break from the rest of the album, even though its short. Solid album too.

Very close to City, but this is my favourite SYL album, i think the production may help, and the fact that there is a little more quiet moments, however few they are.

But SYL's wall of noise making your ears bleed is the best part!

Listening to shitstorm right now. What a monster song! His screams are so intense. You can feel the madness coming from Devin. Skesis is also pretty sick especially in the Fuckin Fight! part.

Anyone interested in Zimmer's Hole's new album? It's Strapping Young Lad minus Devin. It's Comedic Thrash/Speed Metal. I'll prob check it out but there's not much on this site bout them. This Message Edited On 03.13.08

I've heard of them but never listened to them before. Do they sound anything like SYL or are they just pure thrash/ speed metal? Cool either way!

I've only realley heard like one song off their new album and it had the guy from Dethklok featured. It was pretty awesome but it's definately different. Hogan is involved though so it'll prob be awesome. Their new album came out Tuesday so I'm going to check that out as soon as possible.

Top SYL songs:

1 All hail the New Flesh/OMFG

2 Skeksis/Shitstorm

3 Aftermath

4 Wrong Side

5 Home Nucleonics

SYL is an excellent band, actually ALL of their songs have something great, Devin is a very creative and talented musician

Hiatus as SYL but the entire band minus devn is in the band Zimmer's Hole...Dev has said he probably won't do anything else with SYL tho because it'd be "for the wrong reasons"

Well that sucks. Zimmer's Hole sounds ok. I've only heard one song, but it was entertaining.

gotta love the big DT. that's really what Zimmer's Hole is lacking. They're good but without Devin Townsend, they don't have that special umph and genius.
