SIgur Ros at 4x, I like it.

It almost feels as though I love and hate this simultaneously, it's like Sigur Ros but with a lethal dose of sugar-coated (pop)corn. I just need more time, or smaller servings, hopefully.

Yeah this is working for me now which is a relief. There's a handful of beautiful moments here. Jonsi has really committed to this uplifting dream-pop sound, something I wasn't convinced would be particularly palatable at first but I'm definitely getting there. I just have to accept this isn't a Sigur Ros record, which is tough when you've got Jonsi's angelic tones all over it.

Praying I'm wrong and it's just me and my clearly defective ears... because the new one is kind of bad so far. Not just average, plain bad. I'm worried.

Ugh, Salt Liquorice from the new one is appallingly bad. Horrendous.
Yes this is definitely worth a shot. It's very very sugary, but if you can get past that there's a surprising amount of depth and Jonsi has the voice of an angel.
