Yes, they kick a**es live, no matter if you like them or not. The CD is definately better than their first, but with only one really great song: "Is This My Fate". They should evolve more in this way IMO.

"Is This My Fate? He Asked Them" is a kickass song.

Pretty cool album overall, I have to say. Sure, it might be slightly generic and all, but at least they're not smack-dab in the middle of the pop-punk genre. "Stereo" ranks as one of my favorite songs on this album; the catchy chorus does it all for me.

i like the review and the album is really good too. not great
it's an easy listen

God, you're a fucking moron.
Don't listen to post-hardcore and then be like 'I hate this song cuz of screaming'
I only like their screaming songs.
Best songs are meathead, is this my fate, and sleep.
Jesus christ. Your review was 100% opinion and no substance.

Oh I forgot. Stereo too.

Who can be an authoritative person when writing a review, a review is pretty much all opinion. I thought it was a very good review with alot of detail and an awesome album... They actually have something to say and you can understand it with little screamo. To kick it off they have some sweet solos and guitar riffs.

Fucking terrible band.
That's just me, though.
|
| |
I honestly think this release is at very least decent, like surprisingly decent.
|
| |
This band have never struck a chord with me.
|
| |
I like this album quite a lot.
It's something I can put on if I need a change from my normal listening.
Although, it's not incredibly original and it kinda reeks of "trying to be something we're not"
Kudos to the band for trying though.

Well, the review is okay...but I must say, you seem to listen to music in a completely different way than I do, so it made it difficult to relate to. It's like you weren't paying attention to the good parts of this album. And what's so damn wrong with the off beat drumming? It's a staple in the punk, hardcore, and metal genres...get over it. I think you just need to watch a little less MTV and listen to more music. And you obviously don't understand the band you're reviewing. Taste of Poison is NOT about relationships...its about addiction. And the silence at the end of "Is this my fate?" is to separate the last track on the cd from the rest of the album...because it's NOT a part of this album...its just a song at the end of this cd. ...sorry, I'm not trying to sound like such an a**, I just disagree with your perspective.
But anyway, I love the hardcore and metal influences they put into a good rock album. The 80's influence is unique in this kind of music. This album made me realize that Phil, the 2nd guitarist, is one talented dude. His backing vocals at the end of the first track are pretty damn good...he should do that more. Yeah, the lead guitaris and the drummer are damn good, but Phil could step their shit up a lot. Dan is kinda starting to piss me off...he's ruined his voice. He can still pull off the heavier songs, but his singing is mediocre at best. All he does is yell... I think they'd be better off with a new singer...or just put Phil in that position.

I think you got your ratings for March of the Dead and Meathead mixed up, but other than that good review, I liked the Black Swan, I think I'll pick this one up too.

Story Of The Thrice.

heavier than page avenue. as they said in their studio interviews, this album shows their true colors more than page does. i really enjoy this one too. "meathead" gets me pumped up ha.

WE DON'T CARE ANYMooooooooooOOOOOOOOOOOOOORE
|
| |
I listened we don't care anymore and I just didn't want to look anymore.
this utterly sucks. at least the lead single
|

"The entire song is offbeat"
My friend, that's not correct at all. The song's pretty tight.
|
| |
Album starts off real strong but for me the last songs are just.. all the same. Good enough album tho.
|
| |
This album is so good.
