Butchered - Listen to Willie, they're really a fun listen when you're in the mood!

They don't... read the review ;) That doesn't mean that they aren't totally enjoyable though. I hate that people ding bands for being awesome but 'unoriginal'. To me, it's cool because you don't have to wait as long for an album that has a sound that you're totally into.

I definitely wasn't implying that I only love bands that are on the cutting edge. I was trying to point out that none of the songs did "it" for me. I'm having trouble trying to explain it right now, but I have a feeling I might enjoy this a bit more if I were to listen to it again.

Normandy, Lost Signal, and Field Of The Dead are all keepers.

I think the aspect that keeps me coming back are the really catchy sythns and the fact that it's great high-energy background music.

Yeah. It's been awhile but I don't remember them having a very consistant energy level.

Okay true, but that's what makes them so good. The duo can change it up or slow it down and still create a fantastic song.

as people are writing about ESC (Eden Synthetic Corps) I have to say I love their Enhancer (2008) album since the release! It's more melodic harsh electro but most songs are nice structured with only 2 choruses and somehow it has more of a spring atmosphere than the usual autumnal one.

Too many bands in this genre often go for predictable song patterns it's frustrating. Still there are over 30 aggrotech / dark electro albums I really like.
But it's a hard search to find albums I really like, a week ago the last 2 were Die Sektor - To Be Fed Upon and Life Cried - Banished Psalms both amazing.

Also I don't give a damn about originality, that's an irrelevant point for me if I think about what I like about a certain album
