The thing that really irks me about this album is how the songs can never stop meandering. I mean, yeah, they're powerful, and there's loads of good riffs, but the songs hardly ever repeat anything. They sometimes feel more like stories with untied ends rather than songs.

^To me, the fact that the songs don't really repeat much is part of what makes this so good. The replay value on this is higher than any other album I have ever listened to. I haven been listening to this since when it leaked in 2006 and I'm still not tired of it. Hands down my favorite album ever.

DTGL = LITSOS > TOCS > Disambiguation . . . basically

DTGL = Disambiguation > LITSOS > TOCS. I really enjoyed the new one, didn't care for LitSoS much though. And I just flat out dislike TOCS. If I had to pick a favorite it would be this one, but Disambiguation is close.

Cries of the Past rules. Disambiguation and Lost in the Sound were both really boring to me.

I agree. That is part of what makes it SO freaking good.

Writing on the Walls music video was played all over Fuse because it won a Grammy for Best Music Video that year.

Can you elaborate on why that's a good thing, rather than bad?

So, foxxxy, you're saying that all the songs out there that repeat a piece of their structure are "fucking boring and generic"?

I think the fact that very few things are repeated shows the bands creativity. However, enough is repeated to hook the people who really enjoy catchiness... That is the beautiful thing about this alum. I simultaneously appeals to several different groups...
