Al has been using drugs for more than 35 years by now. But the drugs he took between 87 and 93 were good quality drugs. LOL
You dont like the Bush triology?

quality im sure yea but im going to take a guess and say heroin crack and methadone on the regular isnt very good on the brain. i mean i wouldnt know im never going to try. psychedelics are all one needs imo
>You dont like the Bush triology?
not too much! i should give them another listen but for me the definitive Ministry is from 86-89, ending with TMIATTTT. psalm is great too but it came at a time industrial metal was an established genre and it sorta blended with those. miss the hard avant-industrial sound he more or less curated on his own that was unlike anything the world had ever heard

To have an idea of whats going on AL´s mind and veins, check his documentary - Fix by Doug Freel.
But seriously, give another chance to the triology. I saw them live around 2007 and they were on fire. Rio Grande Blood is my favorite 2000s Ministry album. After that, everything Al did sucks eggs.

thanks for the doc rec! i will def check that out. i want to know more about al - he is a fellow immigrant who grew up in chicago. i have said this before but i feel pride in knowing i live the wax trax base of operations lol. hope old school industrial music makes a comeback one day soon
and will for sure give the bush trilogy another go. political anger is something i think i can get behind a bit more now so maybe it'll click better now. just wish there was more of an electronic sound - i remember a lot of the songs being very guitar-rooted

honestly really like this one. Bad Blood and Supermanic Soul bring the energy, and then you've got the weirder stuff like 10/10 and Nursing Home which I REALLY like.

yeah idk i like some of the stuff on here but overall its a big nothing experience, having jammed this 3 times now there is little that really stuck with me. its similar to rape & honey in that it just peters out, 10/10 is not a worthy album closer and Dialogue as the actual last track is just annoying and completely skippable. might be my last fav ministry album so far.

Nursing Home is my fav track on here.

Kaif and Vex and Siolence feel extremely drugged out and tired. Like I can appreciate them for succeeding in invoking that feel if it was the intention but it won't get me excited to listen to them again.

hell yeah, Nursing Home is so good. I did begin to appreciate this more over time but not much

Step is so unhinged and cynical. Kaif really captures a drugged-out tired mood in a unique way like you said. Really just an album that you need to shower after listening. Certainly one I won't forget. Eureka Pile and Nursing Home are peak Ministry
