Eh I just wasn't too into this album. A few bright spots (really liked In My Teeth), but overall felt too...clean? Maybe just not my style.

Sowing, you're killin' it lately. This is really good. Great review as well, I HAD to listen right after I read it

Anyone else think the chorus of Blue Eyes sounds like that Walking On Sunshine song?

Thanks Spirit, you're too kind! And I'm glad you like it, it's truly an unappreciated album.

I am quite surprised that Sputnik hasn't really caught on to this more, it seems like something everybody would eat up.

I think it's a little too generic for most people

here

It's top shelf generic, but still could be more

creative

I wouldn't really call this generic. I feel like no matter what way you use that, a negative connotation will follow.

Well it's not negative, per se, but it's undeniable that this album doesn't do anything daring. Music doesn't always have to though, which is why I love this album's quiet contentment in being melodic and upbeat.

I agree that it doesn't do anything new, but I think just the fact it falls upon old tropes but uses them so successfully should keep it from being called generic. But either way, we are obviously both in agreement about how much this rules. It's such a great summer album.

Oh this is real amazing stuff. I wonder if it'll age well.
