Gonna have to side with you there brother.

Assassination of Adam is kinda weak but still has a really nice outro, everything else rules.

Around the 50 minute mark, relatively short by Kayo Dot standards.

Can't get over how gorgeous and spacey these compositions are, Driver's vox are fantastic too.

They are quite repetitive in some parts, but in a really intoxicating manner.

Veldin - yes, it's from Library Subterranean. An awesome vocal line there.

Don't get the beef people have with the vocals, I think they fit with the atmosphere so well.

Vocals are always a point of contention for some every new KD.

They sounded a bit...excessive? on my first check. Still waiting for the cd to arrive so that I can play this on repeat.

They have four albums shorter than this, only three longer. Wouldn't say it's short, let alone short for the band.

Probably meant in contrast to Hubardo, which was huge...Choirs and Dowsing also feel somewhat longer than they were as well (in a good way). These three albums tend to be the ones people know/remember Kayo for, even if they do have shorter

dowsing feels kind of empty at points for me which is the reason it also feels longer than it actually is

"I actually feel otherwise. Choirs and Dowsing are relatively long records, but for me they feel very short"

I get you, but for me they feel very fully-realised and expansive, plus they have a LOT of ideas and movements, hence the feeling of length. Works either way, I suppose...

@Art agreed, but the emptiness is part of what makes it beautiful

Kayo dot are up their with Neurosis as my favorite bands of all time. They are just consistently brilliant but KD are also consistently different. Album is amazing. Going to have a few more spins before rating though.

There is not enough time in my life to listen to everything Toby Driver puts out, Jesus.

I seriously didn't think there would be another album out already.

Well, I am stomaching the blandness of The Righteous and the Butterfly atm and I don't have anything I have to listen to afterword so I guess I can hit this one up. Just, Toby, stop trying to outdo all the other insanely prolific musicians out there.
