apparently a lot of people seem to think so. for me that warrants at least one listen. will get on it later.

This is different than anything that they have ever put out. I've heard bits and pieces of the songs and thought it was really good. Need to hear the full album soon.

Didn't realize how good Paralyzed was until now

My mind is honestly blown that these guys could make a song as good as Anomally

Granted I've never been an AVA fan and really never listened to them in any extended sense, but am I the only one finding this overrated and disappointing? The singles had me stoked to finally give them a try, but I feel this is an odd case where the individual parts are better than whole. For an album with a lot of lush atmospherics, I can't help but find with DeLonge and company over-relying on the same dense riffing, rhythms and tempos from song to song, especially in the midsection. It is surprising derivative. But that's just me.

Is there an actual reason as to why this isn't getting a physical release?
|
| |
I don't know but apparently if you buy some special pack on their website it comes with a blank CD you can burn your digital album onto...yay...
|
| |
I only liked the first AVA album is this worth listening to?
|
| |
Hell fucking yeah
|
| |
i'm starting to think this is the best thing Tom's been involved with since Blink's self-titled album
|
| |
I must agree. I just hope he still has enough in him for the next Blink album to be at least good 'cause I don't know why but I have a bad feeling about it.

what if you slowly grew off AVA without really noting a perceptible decline in their style or quality
|
| |
i'd say still give it a go

Never tried this band before but this album is pretty great.

"DeLonge jumped head first into a new project, exploring fresh ideas, different sounds and creating a new
image. The final product was Angels and Airwaves (abbreviated as AVA). Fronted by DeLonge suited up with a
leather jacket with patches and space insignia, AVA was billed to “redefine” Rock & Roll and inspire a
whole new generation of music."
This is either the most unintentionally amusing thing I've read all month or you have a rare wry wit
indeed sir.
Based on the album covers it looks like this band specializes in really shitty theme albums. Maybe they'll
do one about Ice Pirates?
